Closing Gitmo Changes Nothing

leftists and anti-American voices will be emboldened if we close Gitmo . . .

So tell me how closing Gitmo and moving these low-life slugs onto U.S. soil in Illinois solves anything?

The argument of the Left and soft Republicans like Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is that Gitmo is a recruiting tool for terrorists.

So how exactly is moving these folks inside the U.S. going to make a difference Mr. Graham? Hello, they will actually be on U.S. soil, common sense says if Gitmo is a recruiting tool than Gitmo-north in Illinois will be too. 

The stupidity of all this is just astounding. This isn't taking the moral high ground Mr. Graham, it's a moral house of cards.

this could turn out to be the biggest single set back to freedoms fight against terrorists . . .

All through last year's election, Obama and his cult followers linked Gitmo to terrorist recruitment. If it wasn't for the arrogance of Bush and his putting these poor, misunderstood folks at Gitmo, there would be no terrorists they said over and over again!

Former Vice President Dick Cheney described this irrational cult like view earlier this year as "recruitment tool theory". Obama repeated this claim as recently as May 21, 2009 in his speech at the National Archives when he said:

"The existence of Guantanamo likely created more terrorists around the world"

Ok, so now let's fast forward and Obama through his front man Eric Holder, is going to bring five of these low life pieces of garbage onto the world stage and into our civil court system via a big screen near you.

Now think about that. Each trial will be televised. And for the big tuna in this whole catch,  professed 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, his trail will be 24/7 coverage on all the cable outlets. It will make the OJ Simpson circus dwarf in comparison.

But the worst part is that you can bet KSM and his co-horts will be fully dressed in white Middle East garb from head to toe. They will play the part of the victim. I can just see it, their images broadcast world wide to every cave in the Middle East. And their ACLU-pro-bono attorneys will take the attack that OJ's lead attorney Johnnie Cochran took. Put the Government on trial; force it to release classified document; reveal intelligence methods; etc.

Gosh, you think this worldwide televised event, day after day after day, will be a recruitment tool for terrorists around the world??????????????

It's Good To Be An American

would be nice if Mr. Obama would express that as he talks to those around the world . . .

Many have mentioned how President Obama failed to talk about our exceptionalism during his speech to the United Nations this week. Instead, he took his apology tour directly to the U.N. and again took the opportunity to lower the United States to a level of the likes of Iran, Venezuela, North Korea and Libya.

It’s mystifying why the President didn’t mention that we believe in people; we believe that the best is yet to come; we believe that the call of liberty and freedom finds comfort in the hearts and minds of people worldwide. Ours is a nation of immigrants and a safe harbor for those seeking freedom of expression and religion.

Rather than apologize to the world, Obama should have reminded members that the United States has led the world in the search for innovations and advancements to improve the quality of life and extend the life expectancy of man.  When the people of the world face natural disaster or disease, the United States leads the world in providing relief and cures. When the people of the world are searching for hope, the United States is the beacon of hope for the downtrodden. When the people of the world are threatened by dark forces, the United States steps forward to combat the threat of evil.

We are a nation of people whose diverse backgrounds derive from every remote area of this planet. Each unique experience weaves a rich history of the world yet melds into a unifying voice called the United States of America.

We will continue to lead and search for solutions to the world’s problems and we ask that each of you join us in that pursuit, for the people of the world deserve the best that we have to offer.

That is what I would have preferred to hear; sadly just the opposite occurred yet again.

In a stunning, jaw dropping speech to members of the U.N. on the Middle East today, President Obama used phrases that no U.S. President has ever uttered and ultimately made every Islamic thug throughout the world happy.

John Bolton, the former Ambassador to the United Nations did an excellent job of explaining how historically tragic Obama's speech was today. Take a moment to listen to this clip that I found on the blog Atlas Shrugs. Listen and listen closely my friends.

In the 2008 election, Obama won 78% of the Jewish vote. If this doesn't shake the Jewish vote to their core, then I don't know what will.

The Ghost of LBJ Hovering Over Obama

Gen. McChrystal's request is a no-brainer to everyone but the LEFT . . .

Obama's waffling on the troop request for Afghanistan and his micromanaging the war effort there is channeling us back in time to the Johnson Administration and LBJ's complete inept handling of the Vietnam War.

Volumes have been written on the paralysis that hampered the Johnson White House and its total disregard for the military leaders on the ground. Obama better be very careful because he is getting very near repeating one of the most humiliating and disastrous times in our country. The failures of LBJ in Vietnam reverberated around the world for almost 30 years until Ronald Reagan restored our position of strength in the 90's. 

Is Obama's Hope and Change about ready to send us down a path of another 30 years of being the world's paper tiger? This is serious stuff folks. Men and women's lives hold in the balance as an inexperienced speech maker from Chicago waffles. 

Maybe Mr. Obama should spend less time on talk shows getting his ego massaged and more time in the Oval Office actually working through the military's request for Afghanistan.

Being President means making tough decisions so suck it up, sit down and get this done.

Cheney Fox Interview Refreshing

a breath of fresh air . . .

Former Vice President Dick Cheney was great on "Fox News Sunday". If you didn't see the interview, then click here and you will be able to read the transcript. Or, I would highly recommend watching the video interview by clicking here.

As I watch Cheney, I came to realize just how much maturity that he lent to the Bush Administration. Didn't mean the President always took his advice and Mr. Cheney references that in the interview. Obama on the other hand has Mr. Biden, do I need to say anything more . . .

It was refreshing to hear a Republican finally connect Obama and Holder on this new investigation that the A-G has opened. It amazes me that no one is pressing Obama because there is no way he hasn't given it the ok. Here is what Cheney said on that issue:

Well, I think if you look at the Constitution, the president of the United States is the chief law enforcement officer in the land. The attorney general's a statutory officer. He's a member of the cabinet. The president's the one who bears this responsibility. And for him to say, gee, I didn't have anything to do with it, especially after he sat in the Oval Office and said this wouldn't happen, then Holder decides he's going to do it. So now he's backed off and is claiming he's not responsible. I just, I think he's trying to duck the responsibility for what's going on here. And I think it's wrong.

One note of interest, the Vice President is writing a book and I can not wait till it comes out. It should be great.

Michigan Gets A Dose of ObamaChange

Obama's arrogance will not allow him to admit that he made a mistake on Gitmo . . .

First we have cash-for-clunkers to help out the UAW and Obama Motors in Detroit(although Japanese companies benefited more) and now we have combatants-for-Michigan to stimulate the state's economy.

The Obama Administration is looking at stimulating the Michigan economy by moving those misunderstood and horribly treated men of Muslim persuasion to Michigan.

Hey, what a splendid idea. Maybe Michigan's economically challenged Governor Jennifer Granholm can get these guys some tech-school training and eventually get them jobs on the manufacturing floor of Obama Motors in Detroit.

Man, the Obama folks just keep on giving.

President Mea Culpa Strikes Again

    yes America we are a sorry lot . . .

President Obama apologized yet again today to the world. This time it was at the G-8 meeting where we bad old Americans are apparently solely to blame for pillaging the earth and polluting the rivers and air.

Obama is great at apologizing for what he perceives as our past sins. I think it is time that Obama turn his fixation of mea culpas on himself. Let me suggest that he man-up and apologize to the American people for the complete lie that was his campaign last year. The moderate candidate is not the leftist President. Oh, and how about apologizing to current taxpayers and our young children who will be paying off the massive, irresponsible debt that you have run up in just six months? How about a mea culpa to the children and spouses of those killed on 9-11 for determining that we should play nice with the murders of their loved ones.                                                                        

I guess that will do for starters. 

Can you believe we have 3 1/2 years left of this leftist!!!!

Two words were all that 90-year old patriot and former President John Adams needed to sum up the meaning of the 4^th of July in 1826. Fast forward to this year’s 4^th of July celebrations and you will find that our current President, Mr. Obama, is soiling the 4^th of July.

According to a State Department memo, in a new overture to Iran, the Obama administration has authorized U.S. embassies around the world to invite Iranian officials to Independence Day parties they host on or around July 4^th.

Good lord, what is wrong with this man. The Iranian government funds and supports terrorism around the world.

 

These very government officials that will be coming to our embassies, have the blood on their shoes of every U.S. solider killed fighting terrorism.

 

My god, man, I know you are the President, you keep telling us that at every opportunity but have you completely lost your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama’s own nationalized press corp even gave him an opportunity in today’s press conference to walk away from this invitation but he didn’t.

This is getting painful to watch . . .
